I AM & BEYOND I AM MEDITATION
The assumption of "me, or myself" is so strong that we tend to think that this sense of identity is who we really are. In the meditation, we will soften this automatic assumption into a space of lightness and ease. We will familiarize ourselves with the open and expanded Presence, rather than the contracted sense of "me, or myself".
Removing the attention from a feeling to the space around that feeling is the first step to dissolving that contracted identity. Each emotion or energy can be noticed and acknowledged, but when we soften it, we notice that it isn't really who we are. We are the space where the feeling arises. This brings a great sense of freedom, as you realize that you can handle any difficult emotion.
